What you need
- HubSpot
- Pipedrive or Airtable saved view
When it runs
Monday morning.
Steps
- Create a saved view: open deals where last activity is more than 14 days ago.
- Set a recurring Monday task that links to the view.
- For each deal, do one of three things: send a follow-up, set a next step with a date, or mark it lost.
- Write the reason when you close a deal as lost.
Prompt or template to copy
Optional follow-up: "Write a 3-line check-in to {name} about {deal}, referencing our last conversation about {topic}. No pressure, one question."Why this usually works
Why it worksForcing a decision on each stale deal keeps the pipeline honest.
What to watch for
Watch forA deal with a far-off next step is not stale; filter by next-step date too.
