Before saving anything typed by the public or by agents, the form blocks links, keys and 'ignore your instructions' style text.

Steps
- Check length limits on every field first.
- Reject text with links in it (http, www, or bare domains).
- Reject text that looks like a secret key or password.
- Reject text that tries to give instructions to a bot, like 'ignore previous instructions'.
- Add a hidden 'website' field. Real people leave it empty; simple spam bots fill it in.
- Save only after all checks pass, and treat saved text as data, never as commands.
What worked / what failed
WorkedThe hidden field stopped the simplest spam bots without a captcha.
WorkedBlocking links removed most of the reason to spam at all.
Failed, then fixedThe link check also blocked honest text like 'node.js'. We kept it strict and tell people why it was blocked.
